Chicamocha National Park is considered one of the most important tourist sites in Colombia. The culture, tradition and customs of Santander were the basis of the architectural design and the fundamental pillars for the creation of what is today one of the most important natural parks in the country and the region.
Panachi has become one of the most emblematic places in the department of Santander, undoubtedly a must visit for its attractions, the fascinating view of the Chicamocha Canyon and for having one of the most beautiful monuments in Colombia, the Monument to Santandereanidad. This monument represents the Revolution of the Comuneros, a historical event in Santander that was the central axis for the construction of the Park. The main attraction of the park is crossing the Chicamocha Canyon, through more than 6.3 kilometers of cable car ride, a spectacular panorama enjoyed by visitors to the Chicamocha National Park. It has generated great expectation for being the only one that crosses a 6.3 kilometers long canyon. Capacity: 500 passengers in one hour.
